Mr Fisk (general manager of the Amalgamated Wireless, Australia), who was finally interviewed at Plymouth, said that he and his .staff had inspected all the iiiglipower wireless stations in England and on the. Continent. They had investigated the latest developments in wireless telegraphy and telephony, and had completed plans and specilicalions for a new Australian system. Official and commercial circles, lie said, regarded the Australian scheme as being the most, comprehensive of the front-rank services for both strategic and commercial purposes, upon which they had important discussions. They also examined tho latest equipment suitable for linking up isolated localities. They, thoroughly investigated all the, aspects of broadcasting, and arrived at a scheme which will avoid the limitation!! of the British and Ameri’an systems, which were unsuitable to Australian requirements. Mr Fisk states that he has made full plans for extending the company’s works, enabling them to produce complete modern apparatus in Australia.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
