MYSTERY HORSE FAILS. " JOKE OF THE SEASON.” LONDON, March 22. He was bought in Ireland for £3O, and has never won a race. His nomination, was regarded as tho best joke of the season, but as tho result of an alleged startling trial and the support of a millionaire, Mr Jimmy White,_ he flashed to the forefront of tho betting. Before the race he was housed at the local' grocer’s stable.
