His tongue was so swollen that he was unable to speak, and after staggering some distance he fell. He crawled a few hundred yards, and finally, giving up hope, he made his will, pinned it to his coat, and lay down. Next day he crawled a little further. He became unconscious, but was revived by a dog licking his face. Ihe dog’s continuous barking attracted the attention of its owner, Mr F. Hosking, who found Rawson in a very had state.

Rawson revived under prompt treatment, and was later taken hack to Koorlong, where he is recovering.
