WIRELESS. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. Our attention lias been drawn to & remarkable letter written by Mr O’Noill, wbieb appeared in the 'Evening Star’ on December 30th, In this letter the writer states wo arc stocking and supplying German goods, amt states we supplied him with a German valve from slock some time ago. The true position is that some months ago Mr O’Neill rang us, and asked if we could lend or sell him a valve to domonrirate a sot to a client. We replied that we had no valves in stock, bub had some German war relics, and that he could have the loan of one of tliesa to help him out. Mr O’Neill was duly grateful at tho time, hut he has not vet had tho courtesy to return this valuable relic, which is one we exhibited at the University Oonversariono sumo time ago, and now ho is trying to damage us in return for our assistance. He also stated in tho same letter {hot “ When Mr Arundel reaches my stage of life he may have gained a Httlo more experience (electrical included),” and, suggests wo should Study ‘Hawldn’s Guide,’ a work suitable for flrstrycar apprentices. We find it difficult to reconcile this abatement. which is purely abuse, with the fact that the University of_ London asked us to lecture to their Electrical Engineering Student* on several occasions; also the British Illuminating Engineering Society asked ua to speak at the Royal Society of Arts; also the New Zealand Government appointed ua Wireless Instructor for the SJ-Z. Forces; and Professor J. T. MacGregor Morris, a recognised authority on Electrical Engineering and whode research work is well known, asked us to write him notes on the operation and use of valves, and warmly complimented, us on our experience. The above facta should 1 be sufficient to show that Mr O’Neill is simply bluffing, and) his other statements are not worth answering. We are, publishing this in response to numerous requests from Wireless and Electrical Engineers In town, and wo are quite Satisfied we have the support of all those Who are acquainted with us.
