Moeraki, Melbourne via ports, Jan. 12. A cablegram from London slates that the C. and D. liner Port Auckland, en route from Australian, ports to tire United Kingdom, passed Perim on December 26. Tho Wiugatui is to leave Auckland on Saturday for Wellington, whero she is due to load on January 2 for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamar-u, and Timaru. The Whangape was to leave Wellington to-day for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff to put out the remainder of her cargo from Sydney. The Kahrka is duo at Wellington ou Saturday from Onehunga. and Nelson, and is to sail the same day for Bluff, Dunedin, Oaraaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton. Tire Tokoa arrived at Auckland on, Tuesday from Newcastle to load. She will continue taking in at Lyttelton, New Plymouth. Wanganui, Wellington, and Napier. The vessel is expected to leave Napier on January 26 for New York, Boston, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester, and Glasgow. The City of Winchester is to leave Wellington on January 3 for Bluff, whence she sails on January 9 for Loudon via Montevideo and Teneriffe. The Carpentaria arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Newcastle to load wool and frozen meat for London. From Lyttelton she goes lo Picton, New Plymouth, and Wellington to continue taking in. The vessel is timed to leave Wellington, on January 12 for London via Montevideo. The C. and D. liner Port Hunter arrived at Auckland on Monday from Newcastle for Homeward loading. She is to load Also at Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay, Napier, and Wanganui roadstead, and will sail from Wanganui during the third week in January for London via UnJlmiirne and Suez.

The Union Company’s passenger steamer Maraina is to sail from Wellington at 11 a.m. to-morrow direct for Sydney. She will remain in the intercolonial passenger service. The Miairaoa will go from Dunedin to Bluff to complete discharge and to commence loading. She will take in further consignment at Lyttelton, Timaru, Port Chalmers, Wellington, Auckland, and Napier. The vesse/l is to leave Napier about January 20 for London via New York and Boston. The Paloona completed discharging her Australian cargo this morning, then steamed to Port Chalmers, where she will undergo survey and overhaul. Having completed discharging her cargo from West of England ports, tho Federal liner Kent went to Port Chalmers this morning to load wool and .general cargo for tire United Kingdom. The Koromiko is to leave Port Chalmers this evening for Newcastle, where sho will load coal for Picton, Wellington, and Napier. The Waipori is due at Dunedin tomorrow from Westport via Bluff to discharge a part cargo of coal. She is to sail on Saturday for Greymouth, taking general cargo. The Kaitangata, from Westport via Lyttelton and Timaru, is expected at Dunedin to-morrow. On completion of discharge she will undergo survey at Port Chalmers, The Kaituna is due at Dunedin on Saturday from Auckland via ports. She is expected to sail the same evening for Bluff to complete discharge. The Whangape is due hero on Saturday from Sydney via Wellington, and Lyttelton to discharge a large quantity of ,general freight. She will sail about January 3 for Bluff and Sydney. The Katoa and Kaitoke, which arc undergoing overhaul at Port Chalmers, will bo recommissioned early in the new year. Tho Kini is to leave Napier to-morrow for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due here about January 3, and will load for Wellington*, Napier, and Gisborne. The Calm is expected here on January 3 from Bluff to Hoad for way ports and Wanganui. THE FERRY SERVICE. Tho Wahine arrived at Lyttelton at 6.30 a.m. to-day from Wellington, and mails and passengers connected with tho first express for the south. THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL. The mail steamer Maunganui arrived at Wellington at 5.30 a.m. to-day from San Francisco via ports, one day ahead of schedule time. In addition to mails and passengers Die vessel brought a large quantity of American cargo end Island fruit for New Zealand. The Maunganui is to sail on Saturday for Sydney. MOERAKI FOR MELBOURNE. The Union liner Moeraki, which arrived at Wellington at 11 R-nx yesterday from Sydney, Is timed to leave the northern port atTl a.m. to-morrow direct for Melbourne in tho PaloonaT running. From Melbourne tho Moeraki js to sail on January 5 for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. IDLE FLEET TO LOAD WHEAT. Charters to load wheat at southern ports have enabled the Commonwealth Government Lino to recommission a number of its steamers. When these charters have been* taken, up all the “Austral ships will ho in commission. - Business has 'been fixed for the Au«t,vail plain, Australrwol, and Austruilport, now lying in Melbourne, and the Austrahnonnt and Austral-range in Sydney. The Australford and Australpoak have not yet been chartered, but will probably he fixed shortly. Meanwhile they, with the Australmount and Australrange, are undergoing an overhaul at Cockatoo Dockyard (Sydney). SOLD TO CHINESE BUYERS. The Australian coasting steamer Nonrebar, which for many years was running to the. North Coast and afterwards to Fiji, has been sold to Mr W. M'Leod Bolton for a China company. The vessel will dock at Sydney for cleaning and bunkering, mid "will sail from Sydney early in the now year for Shanghai, proceeding via tho Torres Strait route. The Noorebar was originally built for the late Mr G. W. Nicolil for the Byron Bay trade. Sho is a steel screw steamer of 670 tons grossj and 309 tons not. She was built at Kinghorn, Scotland, in 1904, and has a length of 183 ft, beam 28ft lin, and depth of 12ft 4in. She baa limited passenger accommodation, is fitted with electric light throughout, and is also fitted with refrigerating machinery. Her speed is equal to about thirteen knots per hour. WAIHORA LEAVES BUN BURY. The Union Company advises that the Waihora left Banbury on Saturday last direct for Dunedin. She is due here on January 4, and after discharging a quantity of merchandise from Singapore, Java, and Samarang, and hardwood from Bunbury, will go to Lyttelton. Wellington, and Auckland to complete discharge. PAKBHA TO LOAD. The National Mortgage and Agency Company advises that the Shaw-Savill liner Pakeha is due at Auckland about February 7 from London. The vessel will discharge her cargo at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due here about February 25, and will Bubsequently load at. Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Picton, Napier, and Wellington. Sho is listed to leave Wellington on March 17 for London. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALI..
