FORESTERS
, The quarterly summoned meeting of Court Excelsior was held in St. Mary’s Hall, Mornington, on Tuesday last, the C.R., Bro, J. A. Dcttchrass, presiding over a gathering of about 50 members. The lodge has for some time been handicapped by the want of suitable furnishings for the court room, consequently it was decided to impose a small levy for the incoming quarter only for the purpose of purchasing rostrums for the C.R. and S.C.R. The D.S. (Bro. J. K. Macfie) was _ heartily toasted. The election of medical ofheer was then proceeded with,the D.S., Bros. M. F. Hearns, _ R. T. Bremner, and W. Morrison being appointed scrutineers. The ballot resulted in Dr Cl. P. Fitzgerald being elected by a substantial majority. The D.S., in replying to the toast, congratulated tho members on their choice, and exhorted them to interest themselves in and push the affairs of the court. Dr G. P. Fitzgerald is at present in England, but is expected to arrive in Dunedin in February, and in the meantime bis father will net for him.
