THE QUEENSLAND BOWLERS

ARRIVE HERE NEXT THURSDAY. The party of Queensland bowlers now in Christchurch are duo here on the evening of December 28 by the second express. Arrangements have been, made by theexecutive of the Dunedin Centre for their entertainment during their stay of five days. The visitors on arrival wall be met by members of fihe Joc.a-1 executive and others. On Friday morning, at 11 o’clock, the mayor will officially welcome them to the city. On Friday afternoon they will be the guests of the fit, Kild-a Club, and the first match will bo played. On Saturday morning they will be taken round the city in an. observation car kindly placed at the disposal of the local executive. On Saturday aft ora eon a match, will be played on the Dunedin green* On New Year’s Day the visitors will bo taken to BroadBay in tho morning 'and play 011 the Kaitnna green in the afternoon. On Tuesday afternoon another match will be played on the Caledonian green. A smoke concert will be held in the Drmedin Club’s pavilion on Tuesday evening. Bowlers are cordially invited to be present at the Town Halil on the morning of December 29 to give the visitors a hearty welcome to Dunedin.

The executive of the centre has selected from former presidents of tho centre, present delegates, presidents of clubs, and members of council of Dominion. Association the following players. In addition to these names the clubs on whose greens the visitors are to be entertained will each provide three rinks;

December 29, match against Queenslanders, St. Kilda green, at 2.30 p.m.— A. M'Kenzio, E. Hanning, F. J. Oampr bell, W. Jacobeen; W. Nicolson, G. 11. F. Watson, J. U. Glover, W. Connor.
