The Queensland bowlers arrived from Wellington to-day, and were met at Lyt telton by the president and members of the Christchurch Centre, and accorded an en-. thnsdastio welcome. They played against the Christchurch Club this afternoon. They will be given a civio reception tomorrow morning, and in the afternoon they will play against the Christchurch Centre. AMATEUR ATHLETICS. OTAGO AND NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP DATES. AMERICAN VISIT HERB CANCELLED. A meeting was held this morning of the Otago Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A., mid it was resolved that as the _ council h asshown grave inconsistency in regard to dates, the Otago Centre _ reverts to its original programme, holding the Otago championships on January 27, and the New Zealand championships on February 17, the only available dates.
