PRINCESS THEATRE
The programme for initial presentation at the Princess Theatre this evening is well up to standard, and excellent entertainment is indicated. The English Revue Companv,' headed by Doddy Hurl and Harry Evans, will give for the first _ time in Australasia a musical comedy with a strong Scottish flavor entitled ‘ Colonel for a Day.’ This piece is said to furnish Doddy Hurl with the best comedy role in the company’s repertoire, and as a large number of attractive scums and dances are introduced patroila may look forward to a treat. The vaudeville programme includes a number of very fine turns. • New matter is billed for Sam Stern (the popular Hebrew comedian), Golda (the dainty wire-waller), Dolores, and Jean Le Hoi (who will make his final appearance). On Tuesday evening the bill will be further strengthened by the addition to the list of entertainers of Mr Maurice Sterndale, the jazzing violinist.
