The Bishops ot the Anglican Church (Provinoa of South Africa.) have issued a pronouncement on the subject of Sunday observance, iu which they insist on the primary importance of public worship, but seo no ham in recreations which conflidt neither with public worship nor the rest and refreshment which the community and individuals alike require. They deprecate, however, the extent to which orgatnisod public sports, picnics, and excursions are disturbing (.ho atmosphere of quiet which should obtain.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
