RIFLE SHOOTING
On Saturday members of the Ka-itangata Defence Rifle Club competed for a valuable trophy presented by Messrs Cooks Bros, Kaitangata. Three members managed to reach the limit (94), a task too much for the scratch men, and these will fire off next Saturday for first place. - Rifleman W. Johnson 45, Deputy-presi-dent F. Carson 47, and G. Frazer 46 dhol well at fiOtfyds; while Dr W, B. Reekie’s 47 at 500yds gives him a lead at this range so far this season. Conditions : One optional sighter and ten sho_ts at each range (of oyds and 500yds) ; limit, 94. 300 500
