DEPUTATIONS TO MINISTERS.Press Association—:By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, December 2. Mr Bonar Law, Sir W. Joynson-Hacks (Parliamentary Secretary to the Department of Overscan Trade), Sir M. Barlow (Minister of Labor), and Mr W. Brace (Labor Adviser to the British Mines Department) met the executive of the Minors’ Federation) at Downing Street. An official statement says that Messrs Smith and Hodge described the hardships arising from the low wages, and asked the Government to take ameliorative measures. Mr Bonar Law replied that while fully recognising the miners’ hardships he saw no need for alleviating them by Government aid.
