OTAGO EGG CIRCLE
The Management Committee the Otago Egg Circle met in_ tho Y.M.C.A. Rooms on Thursday evening, Mr J. T. Harris presiding. Tho Secretary reported having received applications for enrolment as members from forty-four egg producers. These were duly elected, and the meinberehip has now reached 200. Accounts amounting to £6O 9s lid wc.ro passed for payment. Mr D. Y r . Gibson (Glcnavy) was granted six months’ leave of absence, and tho secretary was instructed to write expressing the committee’s sympathy with iiim in his prolonged illness and their sincere hope for his speedy recovery. 'With a view to working up an export trade (after supplying local requirements) to absorb tho surplus eggs, tho secretary was instructed to write to Mr F. (1. Brown, Chief Government Poultry Instructor, asking for any information lie may have or can obtain re the method of packing, etc., for shipment to London, etc., adopted in where a largo export trade has been going on.
