Mr M‘Mahon, chairman of tho Empire Exliibition Management Committee, in a letter to Mr Larkin, Canadian High Commissioner, states that less than £II,OOO was spent in Baltic timber, which was urgently required o complete the stadium in contract time. Mr M'Mahon also states that Mr R. Donald’s allegation that the general manager had stated that it was impossible to get suitable timber within tho Empire was without a shadow of foundation.—A. and N.Z,. Cable.
