THE DUNEDIN GUN CLUB

The Dunedin Gun Club held its; annual match for the club championship on Saturday in fine weather. The conditions were twenty-one birds off the 14yds mark, and l tho prizes were a very fine cup presented by a member for first place, a two-guinea trophy for second, and one-guinea trophy third. Ton competiiois started; of these, three got the po.-mino, followed by two others with only one miss. Tho possibles were G. F». Turner, A, King, and 11. Henderson ; and the shoot-off, which was a long one, went to a further twenty birds. H. Henderson dropped out at the sixth round, and Turner and King fought it out to the twentieth round, whoa Turner missed, and King became the winner of the coveted cup. A fir&t-miss-out sweepstake handicap followed, and at the tenth round tho same three shootels divided. Mr A. King finished up the day with an unbroken run of fifty-four breaks—an extremely good performance. Tho following are the details of the championship match:—E. P. Graham 20, G. E. Turner 21, A. King 21, AV. Smellio IS, R. AUDonald 18, A. Fairbairn 16, A. Callagan 20, P. Wood 14, 11. Henderson 21.
