BEAUTIES OF THE HAREM

RUMORS IN THEATRICAL WORLD. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright PARTS, November 28. (Received November 29, at 10 a.m.) The theatrical profession is indignant at the report that a theatrical director had wired to Ismet Paslia offering to engage 200 women from the cx-Sultan’s harem for a new show in Paris. The reply, it was stated, was that the ladies were not hungry, hut they could accept good engagements. A rumor is current that a London producer is contemplating a tour of the East to secure real harem beauties for a London production. The Secretary of the Actors’ Association told the ‘Daily Herald ’ that if this report was true his association would do all in its power to oppose the scheme.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
