At the Wanganui wool sales 9,000 bales were, submitted to a luh and "euiescntative bench of buvci-. Competition was general and sound. and the rales ruling at WclliiigAin were general' v \ maintained when the quality and condition of the wool were taken in'o account. A good quantity of old won! vas offered. This section opened no with rather u stale appearance, and compared unfavorably with the new' clip. Americans bid freely for most .rood wools; Bradford wore keen operators up tu their limits ; and a _ large quantity of the offering was taken for their trade. Only a .small quantity <>l I,'nubs’"wool was catalogued, good lines celling treeiy, Cruteiiuigs.- "evo inquired for by Japan, and late rate;! were maintained. Tho range of prices was from ISjtl downwards.
