10 THE EDITOH. Sir, —Or Hayward replies briefly to my letter of inquiry by paying that these baths are closed for tho timo being because they are too dangerous. I would like this city representative te consider this matter again, for in my opinion _ he must have very few reasons for arriving at such a conclusion, and if ho still considers that in his decision he is right Die should have found it out years ago, since too pool has been open now for many years, both winter and summer, and ha? still all the necessaries for safe-guarding life, such as being concrete-lined with a graduated bottom, a set of eteps in every corner, band rings all along tho sides, and so forth. Finally, I ask him to look up the record of the baths as regards accidents and fatalities, and he will find nothing to support his decision. I tnist now that after re-consideration Cr Hayward will have them filled again and see them in use, thus forming his decision after his ■personal visit.—l am, etc,, Health. November 27.
