ST. CLAIR SOIREE

• The fourteenth anniversary of St. Clair Presbyterian Church was celebrated yesterday by an old-time tea meeting'at fi o’clock and a social gathering in the church afterwards. Nearly 100 sat down to the tea. The hall was very prettily decorated with choice flowers. At the after meeting short addresses were given by tho Rev. John Miller (who that day completed the ninth yto,- of his pastorate at St. Clair), VLv. W. Scorgio, Ilov. A. W, Kinmont, Rev. G. P. Hunt, and Rev. John Dickie. Mrs H. C. Campbell played two organ solos; tho choir sang an anthem; and the vocal soloists were Mrs V. Green, Mr W, Strang, Air Meiklejohn, and Mr H. M,‘Kay. The proceedings were pleasantly varied by tho presentation of an ebony walking stick to Air R. Duncan, who is leaving the district. Tho Sunday school teachers took Gris means of showing their respect for Air Duncan and their appreciation of his services as the superintendent.
