WOOL MARKET. Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd,, have received the following wool market quotations from their London agents, dated the 13th _ mat. New Zealand merino, CO/64’s, yielding 48 per cent., 26d (present series); 50’s half-bred, yielding 65 per cent., 14d (opening series), (present series); 44/46’s cross-bred preparing, yielding 74 per cant., 9d and 9-^d; 44/46’s cross-bred'carding, yielding 72 per cent., Bfd ancL&ijd; 40/44’s cross-bred, yielding 70 per cont., 7fd (present series); -36/40’s cross-bred, yielding 75 per cent., 7-®d (present series). SOUTH BRITISH INSURANCE. The annual report of the South British Insurance Company shows a neb premium income of £895,340. The gen oral expenses total £279,638, and the losses £538,289. The underwriting surplus is £75,413, interest wnd rente £85.356, ond the balance brought forward £69.801, the three last items totalling £230,570. The directors propose to transfer £35,000 to reserve, and £425 to leasehold and sinking fund, and to pay a dividend for tho year of 20d, absorbing £85,333, carrying forward £lll,Bll.
