DIVORCE DEFENCE COSTS
HUSBAND HAS TO PAY. [Fr.R United Preps Association.] CHPJSTCHUBCH, October 9. Judgment for the plaintiffs was given by Mr Widdowßcm, SAL, to-day in the case of Sargent, Slater, and Dak, solicitors, versus Andrew Boag, a claim for £llß 4s 6d, representing the costs incurred in successfully defending divorce proceedings brought by Hoag against his wife. The magistrate held that the agreement for separation was due to the wrongful act or conduct of the husband, and the wife had the necessary implied authority w pledge her husband's credit in defending Urn action
