OTAGO v. TARANAKI. The representative match between Otago and Taranaki will be played at Carisbrook on Wednesday, when a close and exciting game should eventuate._ The Otago backs gave a very fine exhibition of back play in their match against North Otago last Saturday, and as tho same team vvm be representing the province against Taranaki it will be interesting to see if they will show up as well when opposed to the strong Taranaki side. Taranaki has a good all-round team, and Otago supporters are anxious to see how Otago will shape against them, the result being likely to indicate their chances against Southland on Saturday next. The Taranaki team will arrive this evening, and will stop at the Crown Hotel. The box plan is now open at The Bristol.
