M'OANN BEATS FLYNN. In a professional boxing bout at Westport on Saturday evening for a purse of £l3O, diaries M'Cann got the decision on points over Mike Flynn.' Both gave a fine exhibition in boxing. SCENE AT AMERICAN CONTEST. At St. Paul, Minnesota, Billy Miske knocked out Fred Fulton in the first round of a scheduled ten-round bout. Fulton’s former manager taunted him with cowardice, and Fulton attacked him. The crowd then entered the ring, but the police cleared the arena and escorted Fulton out.—New York cable. AUSTRALIAN EVENTS. At the Sydney Stadium on Saturday night Grimes, the State feather-weight champion, and Words, the State bantam champion, fought a draw. For the most part the contest was a tame affair, Grimes, however, showing more vim and better form than his opponent. Spargo narrowly defeated M‘Carthy at Melbourne Stadium on pints for the feather-weight championship of Australia, in a sultry twenty rounds.
