AMERICAN RAILWAY STRIKE.
PEACE NEGOTIATIONS FAIL. NEW YORK, August* 25. (Received August 26, at 11.30 a.m.) Tho negotiations to end the railway strike collapsed, the efforts of the executives and leaders of the big four brotherhoods, who wore endeavoring in conference to mediate on behalf of the shopmen, having failed. Tho disagreement was due to the railroad companies flatly refusing to restore seniority,—A. and N.Z, Cable.
