Tho New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Hororata, which sailed from Liverpool on July 8 for Australian ports, left Fremantle on August 22 for Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. The’ Union Company advises that the Waii-una was to leave Vancouver on Wednesday last for San Francisco to complete loading for Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. The Ngakuta left Port Chalmers last night for Timaru to complete loading for Westport and Greymouth. Tho Canadian Planter left Dunedin early this morning for Bluff and Auckland to complete her loading for New York, Boston, and Montreal. Tho Kawatiri is to leave Dunedin on Monday afternoon for Westport to load for Pago Pago (Samoa). She will afterwards load sugar at Samoa and E’iji for Auckland. Tho Koromiko is due here on Friday next from Auckland via ports, and will sail the following day for Bluff, cast coast ports, and Auckland. The Calm is due here on Tuesday from Bluff, and is listed to sail tho same day for O.amaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui, The Opawa, from Montreal and New York via northern ports, will probably reach Dunedin to-morrow. She lias over 1,000 tons of general cargo for discharge here. It is reported that the coastal steamer John has been withdrawn from the Dun-edin-Wanganui service owing to the slackness of trade. Tho vessel is now trading between Timaru, Lyttelton, and Now Plymouth. OUTGOING VANCOUVER MAIL. Tli© Union Company advises that tho R.M.S. Niagara loft Sydney at 1 pan. on Thursday for Auckland, where she is duo on Monday. The vessel will sail from Auckland on Tuesday for Suva, Honolulu, and Vancouver. TAHITI REPORTED. The Union Company has been advised that the R.M.S. Tahiti arrived at Rarotonga at 6.50 a.m. on Sunday last from Wellington, and sailed again at 5.30 p.m. tho same day for Papeete and San Francisco. WITH NEW YORK CARGO. The C. and D. liner Port Campbell, which arrived at Auckland early yesterday morning from New York, has cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. Sho is expected at Dunedin about September 2. CALIFORNIAN DRIED FRUITS. The Union Company advises _ that, _in order to provide facilities for importing the new season’s dried and canned fruits from California, the following vessels, in addition to the mail steamers, .have ’been fixed to load at San Francisco for New Zealand ports : —Hauraki, September, for Auckland and Wellington; Waihemo, October, for Napier, Now Plymouth, Lyttelton, and Dunedin; Waiobapu,_ early November, for Auckland and Wellington. LIGHTHOUSE-KEEPERS. Tho Marino Department announces the following transfers of lighthouse-keepers : Principal Keeper C. W- Davis, from East Capo to Akaroa Head. Principal Keeper R. H.
