ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY

The Orchestral Society’s programme in His Majesty’s Theatre next Saturday includes the Larghetto from Beethoven’s ‘ Second Symphony.’ This item alone will bo an attraction to the music-loving public. Overtures ’ Les Dragons De villars’ (Maillart) and ‘ Morning, Noon, and Night’ (Suppe), ballet music ‘Sylvia’ (Delibes), Norwegian dances (Grieg), and excerpts from ‘ Olivette ’ (Audrau) are also included in the orchestral numbers. Mrs W. R. Andrews and Mr W. Gemmell are the assisting soloists. Tho box plan opens at Tho Bristol on Wednesday next for subscribers, and on Friday for non-subscribers. A limited number of tickets will, as usual, bo available at the theatre on lha night of the concert.
