Bates) supplied the following at noon to-day ;—The indications are for northerly winds (moderate to strong) prevailing and freshening; expect changeable and showery weather and an unfavorable change in the weather in the beginning of the week ; barometer falling after about twenty-four hours; sea moderate, tides good. SAlLED.—August 25. Storm, s.s. (1.10 p.m.), 405 tons, Sharpe, for Wanganui via ports. Ngakuta, s.s. (9 p.m.), 1,775 tons, Edge, for Grey-mouth via ports, August 26. Canadian Planter, s.s. (6.50 a.m.), 5,399 tons, Hoop, for Bluff and Auckland. The Katoa, after loading a large quantity of general freight, left Dunedin yesterday afternoon- for Camara, Tirnaru, and "Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington and Auckland. Tiro Kahika is due here on Monday morning from Wellington, and is listed to sail on Monday evening for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. THE FERRY SERVICE, The Maori arrived at Lyttelton at 7.50 a.m. to-day from Wellington, and mails and passengers connected with the 8.45 a.m. express for the south. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
