Parcels are in poor roquest, and showed Is to 2s decline.^ Mr Walter <Gee, in his presidential address to the United Textile Factory Workers’ Association, said the cotton trade was in a most deplorable condition. There was little hope of a full recovery until the exchange fluctuations ceased. Operatives were worse off than before the war.—A. and N.Z. Cable. The German exchange recovered on active buying, in view of the hope that Sir John Bradbury’s and the French delegates’ discussion with Berlin will have a satisfactory result and disprove the Rcichsbank’s statement that the paper marks in circulation amount to 205,275,000,000 against a holding of 1,000,000,000 marks in gold and bullion.—A. and N.Z.
