O’Hara Wood and Gomar in the first set both played carefully, and not overspeodily, and the set went to fourteen games before it was derided. According to private advice, a 'New South Wales ladies’ team will arrive in New Zealand shortly. The team, which comprises Misses Lance, Lloyd, and Gray, and Mrs Utz, is a strong one, and should test the skill of New Zealand players to the utmost. Miss Gray is a country- player The New South Wales team will arrive in Auckland, and will travel down the island, playing at tho principal centres, and in the New Zealand championships at Hastings at Christmas time. Complete arrangements have been made by the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association for tho entertainment of the visitors, reports a Wellington telegram.
