(11.10 p.m.), 810 tons, Holm, for Wanganui via ports. A cablegram from London states that the Port Darwin, bound from Sydney to London, passed Perim on August 17. The Westmoreland, 'after loading a large consignment of meat, and other cargo, left Port Chalmers lido yesterday afternoon to complete her loading at Lyttelton, Napier, Gisborne, and Wellington for London and West of England ports. The Kamo was' recommissioned at Port Chalmers yesterday morning, and came up to Dunedin later in the day to load. She sailed late last night for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. The Breeze is due at Dunedin on Monday from Gisborne via ports, and is timed to sail on Monday night for Timaru, Lyttelton, Picton, and Wanganui. The Port Albany is loading at Lyttelton 55,030 carcasses of mutton, in addition to a quantity of wool, cask goods, and sundries. She is to leave the Canterbury port to-morrow for London via Montevideo. 'The Gallic-is to leave Lyttelton to-day to complete loading at Napier and Wellington. She is to sail from Wellington on” September 1 for London via Montevideo. The Mahana. is to leave Timaru to-day to load at Lyttelton. She is expected at Wellington on August 25, and will sail on -August 29 for Lond'on via Montevideo and Tenoriffe. The 0. and D. Line advise that the Port Sydney is to leave Bluff to-morrow to load at Timaru, Lyttelton, Napier, and Wellington. She should sail from Wellington on September 8 for London via Montevideo. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company has. been advised by cable that the Maimoa arrived at Montevideo on Tuesday morning, bound from Wellington to London. The vessel sailed from Wellington on July 25. All the superstructure of the Union Company’s coal discharging plant erected at the extreme end of the Gladstone pier (Lyttelton) is now practically completed, and the plant should be working shortly. The boilers for the steam plant have not yet arrived. Captain J. G. Watson has taken command of. the Komata, vice Captain H. W, D. Bold, wjio has come ashore for instructions. Mr C. S. Waugh rejoined the Ulirnaroa at Sydney as second engineer, in place of Mr R. M. Leonard, who transferred to the Eiverina. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Maori arrived at Lyttelton at 7.15 a.m.'to-day from Wellington, and mails and passengers . connected with the 8.45 v.m. express for the south. ERROL FROM MONTREAL. The steamer-Errol is reported as having sailed from Montreal on July 24 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. She was expected to call at Norfolk on August 8. CARGO BY THE MANUKA. The Manuka, which arrived at Auckland bn Monday last from Sydney, brought 1,160 tons of cargo. This included 850 cases of fruit and transhipments from the following vessels Arafura, from China; Goulburn, from Australian ports; Nanking Maru, from China and Japan; Almkerlc, from United Kingdom and Ceylon; Euripides, from United Kingdom; Morea, from United Kingdom and Ceylon; Palermo, from United Kingdom; Bardic, from Cape Town; Longs'or, from Europe; Tcshino Maru, from China and Japan; Ulirnaroa, from New Zealand; Waikawa, from Now Zealand; Kanovvna, Wyreema, Katoomba, Period, Wear, from Australian ports. CARGO FROM NEW YORK. Dalgety and Co. have been advised that the U.S. and A. Line steamer Eastern Planet is on the August loading berth at New York for New Zealand ports. The vessel is to leave New York on August 25 for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Sydney. PALOONA DELAYED. The Union Company advises that the Paloona, from Melbourne, was delayed at Wellington yesterday owing to heavy rain.-. She was to sail at noon to-day for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is expected here on Tuesday morning, and will discharge several hundred tons of general freight, which, includes transhipments ©x the steamers Kawarra, Katooraba, Palermo, Eacccmigi, Carina, Houtman, Longsor, and Australbrook.
