, A Tery fine rendering of the cantata ‘David the Shepherd King’ was given in the Port Chalmers Presbyterian. Church yesterday evening by the choir, assisted by the Kaikorai Church choir. _ The Port choir helped the Kaikorai choir similarly last week, and the return of the service yesterday evening by Mr B. Rawlinsou and his choir was highly appreciated by the largo audience present. Mr VV. M'Ewen was conductor. The Rev. G. M. Simpson, minister of the Port Chalmers Church, was much pleased with the service, and acknowledged the indebtedness of the congregation to Mr MTlwen, Urn choir, and. the visiting singers. A formal vote of thanks was moved by Mr G. M. Booth and Mr J. Tait, this being carried very enthusiastically. The solo singing was a popular feature of the service. There’s nothing to equal “NAZOL” for stopping coughs and colds,' soothing sore throate, and banishing influenza. Good for .old and young,—[Advt.J
