It was resolved that the position bo reconsidered, and that representations lie made to the proper authorities in London with a view to effecting tho change. HIGH SCHOOL FEES REIMPOSBD. SYDNEY, August 18. Commencing in January, a fee of 2gs per quarter will be charged at public high schools, in accordance with the Now South Wales Government’s new policy; but there will bo certain exemptions in the cases of parents not in receipt of salaries exceeding £250 a year, or where more than two in the same family are attending the school. THE SHEARING DISPUTE. SYDNEY, August 17. The Australian Workers’ Union and Mr Boots, editor of the newspaper ‘ Worker,’ were proceeded against by the Graziers’ Association on a charge of causing a strike to bo continued. The ‘ case was postponed till August 22. NEW SOUTH WALES LAMBING. ■SYDNEY, August 18. (Received August 18, at noon.) It is officially estimated that the autumn and winter lambing was 7,453,000, or 65 per cent.; but, taking into account 4,210 ewes reserved for -spring and summer lambing, tho figure is expected to reach 67 per cent.
