The Chamber of Deputies carried a motion of confidence in the Government, after a violent debate in which Signor Repossi (a Communist) stirred up pandemonium, and several Fascist! threatened to use their revolvers, Signor Giunta shouting to Signor Repossi: ‘‘lf you say another word I’il shoot you.” Another Fascist took a seat behind Signor Repossi, brandishing a revolver. The President had several times to adjourn the sitting owing to the excitement. Though the majority endorsed Signor Faeta’s declaration, it failed to satisfy the extremists on cither side. The Socialists, before the debate, decided to vote against the Ministry provided it would not lie defeated.—A. and N.Z. Cable. CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT.
ROME, August 10. Tho Chamber adopted a vote of confidence in the new Government by 247 votes to 121.—Reuter.
