BERLIN, August. 10. The latest, imitation of the "Cobbler of Koepenick ” held up a “ Black Maria ” full of prisoners in a Berlin street, declaring himself to be a police inspector and shovying his badge on his coat lapel. He got, up beside the driver, and when the prison was reached tho officials there werccqnallv deceived, obeping every order of the socalled inspector, who toured the cells and ordered this prisoner a good meal and that one, a better bed ; also, that several bthers should bo liberated immediately. He next ordered the governor of the prison, out of his bed and reprimanded* him severely for his bad management. Before complete chaos was reached, one of tho gaolers closely scrutinised tho badge, ami found that it was a political propaganda badge, inscribed: “ Remember Upper Silesia.” The man was arrested, and proved to be a Berlin taßor.—A. and X.Z.
