GRAZIERS’ UNION CHARGES,
SYDNEY, July 26. (Received July 26, at 10.40 p.m.) Cases have commenced in which Qeorgo Buckla'nd (secretary of the central branch of the Australian Workers’ Union), Mr Boole (editor of the ‘Worker’ newspaper), and Harry Smith (an employee of the 'Worker ’ newspaper) were charged on the information of the Graziers’ Union with inciting, members of the Australian Workers’ Union to refuse to accept work under the terms of an award.,

A TENSE SITUATION.
SYDNEY, July 26, (Received July 26, at 10.40 p.m.)
Before the Cod Tribunal a representative of the Southern proprietors announced that the 'latter had met during the morning, and had decided to apply to the Hteh Court for an injunction to restrain the tribunal from dealing with South Coast disputes ; therefore he asked for an adjournment. . The men's representatives emphatically protested, stating that it was a deliberate attempt to hinder the work of the tribunal, and that the miners would regard it m a direct declaration of wav. The chairman (Mr Justice Babble), in refusing the application, accused the proprietors of having ulterior motives in making the application, and after heated remarks had been passed he ordered, them to leave the room. SIXTY-HOUR-WEEK ADVOCATED. A TEMPORARY MEASURE. "SYDNEY, July 26. (Received) July "26, at 10.40 p.m.) Speaking at 1 ’ the annual meeting 'of the Chamber of Commerce, the president advocated a sixty-hour working week until normal conditions were restored. FORTY-FOUR HOUR WEEK. SYDNEY, July 27. (Received July 27, at 11.25 a.m.) A Bill to abolish the forty-four hour week was introduced by 45 votes to 31. Mr Bavin (Attorney-General) explained that the intention was to revert to the 1916 Act, which gave power to the Axbi•tration Court to fix the number of hours according to the merits of a case.
