LONDON, July 14. Interviewed by. the Australian Press Association on Idle subject of Air F. G. Kellaway’s announcement, Mr Fisk says that Mr ■ Kollaway’e statement shows that the Government lias definitely abandoned the -Norman relay scheme an favor of direct communication with the dominions. —A. and' N.Z. [Air Kell away (Postmaster-General), in the House pf Commons, in reply to_ a question in regard to tho wireless chain, gaid that after further consideration the Government had decided to erect a wireless station in England of an ultimate power contemplated by an expert commission instead of tho smaller power proposed to bo used in the first instance. This will provide direct commercial communication with India, South Africa, and Australia. A station will also bo erected in India capable of direct communication with Australia, South Africa, and England. As a corollary to this decision, it is, proposed that tho second station in Egypt and East Africa be deferred,_ and the question of erecting stations at Singapore and Hongkong reconsidered.]
