(Received July 17, at 10.5 a.m.) The Investigations Committee of the Women’s Council, which is collecting evidence in favor of Prohibition, and is systematically visiting tho city wino bars, discovered that extensive drinking exists among women and girls. In one case sixteen bare were visited and 126 women and girls were found drinking, many of them being intoxicated. Some had children in their arms. Another series of visits to seven bars discovered seventy-two females, mostly girls.
