LATE SHIPPING
GERMAN -AUSTRALIA LINE. It is announced that the steamer Honan., of tho German-Australia Line, is to leave Hamburg on August 5 for Australian ports. The vessel is the first steamer of the joint service between the German line and Alfred Holt and Co. At present her itinerary is not available. ADDITION TO BLUE FUNNEL LINE Dicnned is tho name of the latest addition to Holt's Blue Funnel fleet. She was built by Messrs Workman, Clark, and Co., Ltd., of Belfast, Her dimensions are i—49oft by 62.4 ft by 43.79 ft; gross tonnage, 10,354. There are seven large holds arranged for the carriage of general cargoes, and the pillaring arrangements have been designed to render the holds free from structural obstructions. _ The cargo gear is of tho latest typo, with a large number of winches and derricks. The machinery, which was also built by Messrs Workman, Clark, and Co., consists of two sets of Brown-Curtis doublereduction geared turbines with ample boiler power.
