RETURNED SOLDIERS' CHOIR

.Much interest is being evinced in the appearance of this choir at_ its initial concert of the season, to be given in His Majesty’s Theatre on Tuesday, the 16th iust. A capital programme of part gongs has been prepared, and with a membership of about seventy voices a good rendering of tho music is assured. The programme includes the solo and chorus ‘The .Middle Watch,’ from Stanford’s ‘Songs of the Fleet,’ and the cantata. ‘Chords ol Spirits ami Hours,’ a wovk>which was received with great satisfaction, at a, previous concert. Mr Frank Bennett will play a piano .solo, and Mr Dagg a violin solo, .Miss Eva Scott is the lady vocalist, and three members ■of the choir will render songs. Subscribers are reminded that the box plan opens at The Bristol on Friday morning, and as there is an assured full house patrons arc advised to book early.
