OWNERS’ DISABILITIES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, May 3. Tho South Wales coal position shows a marked improvement, though the owners continue! to faro badly. The disposable surplus over standard profits for March amounted to £227,857, of which tho owners arc entitled under the settlement agreement to a 17 per cent, balance. This being insullicient to pay the agreed minimum wages, the owners have sacrifice! their share of tho surplus, also giving £171,570 from tho standard profits, which has increased tho loss since November to £1,500,000. —A. and N.Z.
