Madame Marcy, mother of the deceased, later found on a divan a glove believed to belong to a second woman, who visited the flat shortly before Captain Marcy’s death. She is stated l to have been a blackhaired woman of forty, and ou intimate terms with the officer. It is supposed that the fair-haired woman was an emissary of the second, and that film was sent to discover whether the shot had been fatal.
