GARDEN PARTY
Arrangements arc well in hand for the Harvest Home Carden Party to be held alt Fairfield to-morrow afternoon, and, given a. lino day, the outing should be avery pleasant one. The gardens arc pleasant and well sheltered, even from the worst winds that blow. Music and singing by the Green Island Orchestra, and the Caversbam Methodist Choir will bo special features, whilst games will bo arranged for the young folk. Plain and fancy good/), sweets, fruit, vegetables, produce, etc., will bo on sale. The Mayor and councillors of Green Island will attend, and the Rov. M, A. Pratt will deliver a brief address. The proceeds are in aid of the Fairfield Methodist Church. A motor bus will meet trains at Abbotsford at 1.32 and 2.51 p.m. to convoy passengers In the gardens and back, leaving in tiuio to connect with trains at Abbotsford at 5.2 and 5.21 p.m. Afternoon tea will bo obtainable.
