(Received April 28, at 10.15 a.m.) A boy in Sydney was recently killed in attempting to stop a runaway horse. The members of the City Council desired to vote £SO to tho relatives in recognition of tho lad’s heroic action, but the city solicitor ruled that tho council had no power to vote money for such a purpose. If the boy had been killed accidentally a claim for compensation would have held.
