A GALLANT RESCUE
On St. Andrews Day a bravo rescue was effected at iho Pino River, Queensland, by two lads, aged nine and eight years respectively, eons of Mr E. Black, engineer of the.lthaca Town Council, and grandsons of Mr W. Q. Morrison, of. this city, While indulging in a dip they ) noticed a lad in difficulties, and promptly went to his reecuo, the lad reviving as a result of their efforts in resuscitating him. Their services were referred to in the Press, and wore reported to tho Royal Humane Society of Australasia, which decided to place on ermanent record their valued services and to present them with letlora of commendation. Both lads hold the pr</ilcioncy certificate of tho Royal Life-saving Society, having passed the necessary examinations when six years of ego.
