(Received April 27, at 10.50 a.m.) A heavy earthquake shock considerably damaged 1 property and killed a number of natives. Many of tho exhibits at tho Peace Exhibition wore broken. The earthquake was preceded by an eruption on Mount Asama, eighty miles north-west of tho capital.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
