RUGBY. TEAMS FOR NEW SOUTH’WALES. The Now South Wales Rugby Union has decided that the Maori team shall play its first match in Sydney on Juno eA, and the first match of the All Black team has been set down for July 29. O.R.F.U. THREE SELECTORS APPOINTED. A special general meeting of the O.R.F.U. was held on Monday evening (Mr' Y. CL Cavanagh presiding) to consider the following notice of motion standing in the name of Mr CL Nelson(i) That rule 11 be struck out and the following inserted in lieu thereof—namely, that four weeks alter the annual meeting of the union a meeting of delegates be called for the purpose of electing a Selection Committee, and it shall he competent for' delegates to decide nb this meeting the number who shall compose the Selection Committee; (2) that in the event of the foregoing being carried the meeting proceed to elect the Selection Committee for this year.” , . Mr Nelson, in moving lus motion, said ho would like to see one man chosen to select the forwards and another to select the backs. A chairman could bo appointed to give a casting vote. Mr J. Mitchell seconded the motion. Mr H. Harris thought that the Management Committee was the proper body to appoint the Selection Committee. It would be a mistake, ho considered, to have tho Selection Committee elected bj r the delegates. Mr H. H. S. While considered 1 that tho selectors should 1 bo appointed at the annual meeting of delegates. He moved 1 as an amendment —“ That the Selection Committee ho appointed by ballot at the annual meeting.” _ i Mr D. M. Stuart thought that the idea of the delegates appointing the Selection Committee was a- good one, but considered that it should bo done at the annual meeting. The amendment was carried by a largo majority. The second part of the motion was ruled to be in order. Mr Nelson then moved that two 1 selectors be appointed. Mr Mitchell moved as an amendment that three selectors be appointed.

Tho amendment was carried. The following nominations were received:—Messrs J. Wilson (Dunedin), W. Brown (Zingari-Richmond), G. M'Laren (Taicri Hovers), D, M. Stuart (Pirates), A. M'Donald (Kaikorai), J. Mitchell (Alhambra), J. D. King (Alhambra), and James Duncan.

A ballot resulted in Messrs Stuart, Brown, and M‘Donald being re-elected.

EXECUTIVE MEETING. The ordinary weekly meeting of tho executive was also hold.

The question of arranging grounds for tho primary and secondary schools was referred to a committee, composed of representatives of the schools, the committee to co-operate with a member of tho Flag Comniiteo of the union and submit a. report to be submitted to the Committee of Management. Anderson presided over the weekly meeting of the Executive of the Otago Football Association, held on Monday evening. There were also present Messrs Sc% tt, MTunes, Mackenzie, M'Cloy, Duncan, Deuchrass, Simpson, Ruddinmn, Milburn, and Brother Bowler. With reference to the Australian tour, it was resolved that it should be a recommendation to tho Now Zealand Football Association to assist the Australian team financially by allowing it 25 per cent, of the profits over and above the guarantees, the matter to receive- attention at the end of the tour. —The Secretary of tho Kaitangaia Club wrote advising that at a special meeting of his dub it was decided —« That wo guarantee £55 for a match at Kaitangata with tho Australian (earn, the Otago Football Association to pay all expenses, and should the gate exocod £55 the surplus to bo handed to tho Otaco

Football Aesockitai."—lt was resolved that the Otago delegate at the annual meeting of the New Zealand* Football Association should endeavor to have a match at Kaitangata included in tho Australian team’s itinerary. It was decided that 200 books of rules should be printed’. Regarding the resolutions _ passed at tho annual meeting of the association with reference to school football, it was decided to hold' a special general meeting on May 4 to consider rescinding the resolutions referred to. Messrs Scott and Simpson were left to arrange a match between a local team and tho crew of tho Tainui, which is »t present in port. Permission was granted to tho Southern Club to procure an upright post for C idling Park. Copies of the* correspondence which had passed with tho Commonwealth Association in connection with the proposed tour of an English team were received from the New Zealand Association. Mr Spedding was appointed delegate from the Otago Association to attend tho annual meeting of tho New Zealand' Association. Tho Town Cleric (Mr G. A. Lewin) advised that tho use of the following city reserves had been granted for Association football during tho incoming season : Oval (three grounds), Gardens, Clear, Littlebonrne, Mornington, Chisholm Park, Tramshcds, and Robin Hood .--Tho matter was left to tho Grounds Committee for inspection. The following grounds were allotted:Oval No, 1, Technical College Old* Boys; Oval No. 2, Christian Brothers; Oval No, 3, Y.M.C.A. 5 Gardena, Northern; Clear, Maori Hill; Littlobourno, Old Boys j Mornington, Mornington; Montecillo, Post and Telegraph. Tho Secretary of tho Scacliff Club advised that Ms committee had decided to carry out the association’s suggestion and adopt light blue as tbs club color. The request from tho Y.M.C.A. Club in connection with its colors was granted*. Mr Milburn was appointed delegate to the Sports Grounds Committee. The following requests for transfora were referred to tho Transfer Committee;—L. Storey, from Y.M.C.A. to Technical College Old Boys; Marshall, from Southern to Technical College Old Boys; Ronalds, from Mornington to Technical College Old Boys. The matter of tho condition of ground's was carefully discussed, and satisfactory arrangements were made.
