Many mootings of Indiana adopted resolutions of sympathy and confidence in Mr Montagu, who is highly popular with them.
Gandhi, interviewed, said ho did not think that Mr Montagu's resignation would make much difference to tho situation, but ho thought that Mr Montagu deserved credit for his efforts.—-A. and N.Z. Cable.
