The United States has been assured by the Allies that all American rights to compensation for military occupation of Germany oat of German reparations have been reserved. Thus the reports that the Allies intended to disregard the United States in regard to tho appropriation of the occupational charges out of Germany’s latest reparation instalment has proved unfounded.—A. and N.Z. The ‘ Petit Parisic-n ’ states that the British, Italian, French, and Belgian Finance Ministers, in replying to America’s piernorandiim, point out that a clause has been inserted in the March financial agreement reserving America’s rights, also that the Finance Ministers have not power definitely to settle tho question, which must be dealt with by the allied Governments. —A. and N.Z.
