Tho Now Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Otarama, which left Picton on January 14, arrived at Liverpool on March 5. Tho Shaw-Savill Company is in receipt of a cable message advising the departure from Cardiff on March 10 of the Mahia for Auckland. She is expected to reach there on April 17. The U.S. and A. Line steamer Easterner is expected at Auckland this week from Now York to discharge a part cargo. From Auckland she is to proceed to Newcastle, Sydney, and Melbourne to complete discharge. The Shaw, SaviH, and Albion Company advises that the Athenic is to leave Auckland at the end of this week for Gisborne and Wellington, to complete load* mg. The vessel is due at Wellington on the 26th but., and will leave there on the 31st inst, for London via Panama and Southampton. THE FERRY SERVICE. Tho Maori arrived at Lyttelton at 8.20 a.m. to-day from Wellington, and mails and passengers connected with the express for the south. THE MELBOURNE SERVICE. Tho Paloona, which is duo at Melbourne to-day from Bluff, is listed to leave the Victorian port on March 18 for Wellington, where she is due on March S 3. Tho vessel will leave Wellington about March 24 for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, md Melbourne. WAIWERA TO LOAD. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Waiwera is due at Port Chalmers on Friday from Lyttelton to load for American ports. She will complete loading at Bluff and Wellington,, and will mil from the last-named port about March 31 for Boston, New York, and London. RIMUTAKA REPORTED. The Now Zealand Slipping Company's Rimutaka, which left Wellington on February 11, arrived at Panama on March 7, and sailed from Colon on the following day in continuation of her voyage to Southampton and London. THE CANADIAN SPINNER. Tho Canadian Government steamer Canadian Spinner arrived at Auckland last night from New York. The vessel is to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, and Bluff. Her cargo of case oil comprises 35,000 oases of kerosene, 90,000 cases of motor spirit, and 7,500 _ca«B of benzine. She is due at Dunedin about March 24.

She will bo placed m dry dock_.it Port Chalmers on Friday for cleaning and painting, and will lord here early next week for way ports and Wanganui. The John is due here to-morrow from Lyttelton, and will bo despatched tomorrow night for Wanganui via ports. Tho Kareri is delayed at GTeymouth owin'g to .bad weather. She is expected to sail to-morrow with a cargo of coal and timber for discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. Tho Wanaka is clue at Dunedin to-mor-row morning from Auckland via ports. She will compile discharge at Bluff, and will load here on Monday next for East Coast ports n.nd Auckland. Tho Kahika is now expected to arrive here about Friday from Wellington to load for Nelson and New Plymouth. Tho steamer Troloske, which arrived at Lyttelton yesterday afternoon from Launrestnn, is'due at'Port Chalmers on Friday or Saturday to load for tho United Kingdom. . , The C. and D. liner Port Hacking has arrived at New York from London. She is loading at the American port for Fremantile, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. OUTGOING VANCOUVER MAIL, Tho mail steamer Makura- is to leave Sydney to-morrow for Auckland, where she is'duo on Monday morning. The vessel is scheduled to sail from Auckland at noon on Tuesday for Vancouver via Suva and Honolulu. DORSET FROM LIVERPOOL. The steamer Dorset is due at Auckland on Friday from Liverpool via Panama. The vessel has general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington,"Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She should reaoh this port about the end of March. The Dorset will bo loaded at various Dominion ports by the New Zealand Shipping Company, and will be despatched from' Wellington on April 27 for Southampton and London via Panama. Mr Keith Ramsay advises that the new steamer Kylebeg, which was purchased in Enrrland by Captain Holm for the Dun-cdin-Wanganui Shipping Company, will arrive hero to-morrow evening from Wellington. She is bringing general cargo, and after this has been discharged sho will go into dock at Port Chalmers for cleaning-ond painting. The* vessel has been fixed to load at Dunedin on Tuesday next for way ports and Wanganui. Tho Kylebeg has a carrying capacity of about 1,000 tons, and will" bc'regularly employed in tho Dunedin-Wanganui trade.

THE CITY OF CANTON. Tho steamer City of Canton, which is running under charter to tho A. and A. Line, arrived in the Lower Harbor this morning from New York via Panama and LytteJton. The vessel will borth at the Victoria wharf this evening to discharge about 290 tons of general cargo. The City of Canton left Now York on January 29, and called at 'Newport News, proceeding later through the Panama Canal. The trip was made without incident, moderate weather being encountered across the Pacific. The City of Canton is commanded by Captain W. M'Kenzio, who has with him the following officers: —Chief officer, W. J. Gorst; second, J. A. Bellamy; third, R. Hudson ; chief engineer, J. Starke; second, W. Salt; third, B. Finlay; fourth, J. Halsail ; fifth, J. Mollorf: wireless, W. M'Cormick' assistant, A. Terry; chief steward, J. Duffy. Tho City of Canton will sail to-morrow for TTnbart and Australian ports to complete discharge.
