NATIONAL MUTUAL LIFE ASSOCIATION. The manager for New Zealand for tho Mutual Life Association at Wellington has received tho following cable message from the head office, Melbourne :—“The fifty-second annual genera) meeting of members war, held to-day. Tho now business for the. year is very satisfactory, over 3.4,000 policies, insuring over £5,500,000 were issued. The total income for tho year, including interest and premiems, amounted to over £2,500,000. The sum of £1,400.000 has been added to the funds which now total over £15.000,000. Tho interest earned on the average funds, after deducting income, tax, was £5 4s 5d per cent. BRADFORD WOOL SALE. LONDON, December 21. (Received December 22. at 10.15 a.m.) At tho Bradford wool sale 1,703 bales of “Bawra” (faulty Australian) were sold at satisfactory' prices. Three bales of New Zealand which were privately owned were keenly competed for, and realised from 10 to 15 per cent, above tho London closing rates.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
